Proverbs 30:32-33

Provebs 30:32 If thou hast done foolishly in lifting up thyself, or if thou hast thought evil, lay thine hand upon thy mouth.
33 Surely the churning of milk bringeth forth butter, and the wringing of the nose bringeth forth blood: so the forcing of wrath bringeth forth strife.

These last two verses tell us that if we have acted stupid in in thinking or planning evil, keep it to yourself and ask forgiveness from God and not man who will condemn you.
It goes on to say that forcing wrath will bring problems enough just like you churn milk for butter, and wringing of the the nose brings blood. These things in last verses let us know that we need to try to keep our minds focus on the God and what his will is for us and not worry about what man thinks if it conflicts with God’s will. This whole chapter has shown us a lot ways our society is acting today, good and bad, but lets us know there is a lot of work to be done before Jesus returns.

Proverbs 30:29-31

Proverbs 30:29 There be three things which go well, yea, four are comely in going:
30 A lion which is strongest among beasts, and turneth not away for any;
31 A greyhound; an he goat also; and a king, against whom there is no rising up.

Each of these three creatures and the king offers a glimpse of the Creator’s power and wisdom and illustrates the dignity and confidence of those who walk wisely. The lion is the king of beast and fears nothing. A greyhound is very graceful and fast and can just about outrun anything. the he goat is a proud goat that leads the goats. Then the king who has no one rising up against him because he has the confidence of his people and they follow him willingly. To me these four things show the power and wisdom of God, the order of things and how we should act according to the will of God. Today is a good to to be in church where God is pouring out His Spirit and you are there to get all you can.

Proverbs 30:24-28

24 There be four things which are little upon the earth, but they are exceeding wise:
25 The ants are a people not strong, yet they prepare their meat in the summer;
26 The conies are but a feeble folk, yet make they their houses in the rocks;
27 The locusts have no king, yet go they forth all of them by bands;
28 The spider taketh hold with her hands, and is in kings’ palaces.

These 5 verses tell us of 4 creatures that survive on natural instinct. The ant as we know is very resourceful they are constantly working in the summer to store up for the winter, you never see a lazy ant.Th conies, or rock badgers, were so fast and lived in the rocks and high places they could hardly ever be caught by man or animal. The locusts always travel in bands but never had a leader and were very destructive. The spider we know to seems to live everywhere and will spin there web in no time.The wisdom seen in each of these reveals the beauty of the wise Creator. These four show that labor, diligence, organization, planning, and resourcefulness are better than strength, thus implying the superiority of wisdom over might. Why do we ever worry about anything when God made us to be over the creatures of this planet. These depend on the abilities God gave them to survive and they do not question it. God has told us we can have what we desire if we will but put our faith and trust in Him and seek first His righteousness. So what are waiting for to have the things we desire.

Proverbs 30:21-23

Proverbs 30:21 For three things the earth is disquieted, and for four which it cannot bear:
22 For a servant when he reigneth; and a fool when he is filled with meat;
23 For an odious woman when she is married; and an handmaid that is heir to her mistress.

In these three verses we see an insolent slave made a king, an ill mannered overfed fool, an ill tempered married woman, and a servant maid married to her master. Again we see things that just should not be but because people refuse to turn their lives toward God we have things like this happening all too often. Too often also people let things like this get to them and do things they should not or say things they should not. We need to pray again for wisdom and guidance from the lord on how to handle situations like this help us to use His word to guide us.

Proverbs 30:18-20

Proverbs 30:18 There be three things which are too wonderful for me, yea, four which I know not:
19 The way of an eagle in the air; the way of a serpent upon a rock; the way of a ship in the midst of the sea; and the way of a man with a maid.
20 Such is the way of an adulterous woman; she eateth, and wipeth her mouth, and saith, I have done no wickedness.

We see in these in these scriptures four things that are really hard for the common person to understand. How a huge bird like the eagle can fly like he does and you cannot see where he came from or a trail he left. How a snake can slither across a rock and not slide off. How a big ship can plow through the ocean and not leave a trace of its path. How two people who are destined of God to become one can single each other out in society and make a commitment to bond together for life. Spiritually we could see in the eagle the symbol of God. In the serpent, we see the symbol of Satan. The ship would we see the church. In the man and maid we see Christ with His bride. Then what else is incomprehensible is how an adulterous person can perform the acts they do and say I have done nothing wrong. This adulterous person is not only deceiving others but themselves as well. There heart is so hardened that they feel no guilt and shame.We need to be in prayer that God gives us the wisdom and knowledge to understand the things we need to and the ability to be a witness to those who cannot see the error of their ways.

Proverbs 30:17

Proverbs 30:17 The eye that mocketh at his father, and despiseth to obey his mother, the ravens of the valley shall pick it out, and the young eagles shall eat it.

This verse is a reminder of the commandment that says honor thy father and mother so thy days may be long on this earth. This verse takes it little further and says that the untimely death will come and the vultures will pluck the eyes out first before devouring the body. We see so many young people losing their life at an early age today for numerous reasons but is it possible because so many young do not respect their parents today. Let us be more aware today of the young people we can reach out to and help to grow in their faith so they will learn how to respect their parents and live a full life.

Proverbs 30:15-16

Proverbs 30:15 The horseleach hath two daughters, crying, Give, give. There are three things that are never satisfied, yea, four things say not, It is enough:
16 The grave; and the barren womb; the earth that is not filled with water; and the fire that saith not, It is enough.

These two verses let us know just how bad it is when someone or something cannot be satisfied The horse leach here is an example of something that never lets go until it has gotten all it can or someone pulls it off. It tells there are four things are are never satisfied, first the grave or hell, we read that it enlarges everyday because people do not seek God. The earth is never satisfied with its’ need for water, it drinks all that comes from the rain. The barren womb, most women desire children and if they cannot have them they will sometimes adopted to satisfy that need. The last thing is fire , for it to keep burning it has to constantly have fuel of some kind to stay burning. You may ask what is the significance of this and I would say that it shows we should desire the things from God that will help us continue to be more like Jesus and never be satisfied till we get to heaven.

Proverbs 30:11-14

Proverbs 30:11 There is a generation that curseth their father, and doth not bless their mother.
12 There is a generation that are pure in their own eyes, and yet is not washed from their filthiness.
13 There is a generation, O how lofty are their eyes! and their eyelids are lifted up.
14 There is a generation, whose teeth are as swords, and their jaw teeth as knives, to devour the poor from off the earth, and the needy from among men.

These four verses show us a lot of how our society is today. The first verse defies the commandment that says “Honor thy parents where they days may long upon the earth”. Young people today are speaking death over their own lives because they disrespecting their parents. Then there are lots of people who call themselves Christians today that have not been washed in the blood of Jesus but think they are just fine no matter what they do. Then we have people who have been told in there own church that they can be god. Lucifer was tossed out of heaven for these same thoughts. Last we see that there are those who would rather see the poor removed from society altogether rather than reach out to help them. The church to some degree has even said let the government take care of them. This post is a little long but it shows how we as Christians have a lot of work to do which includes a lot of prayer and fasting.

Proverbs 30:10

Proverbs 30:10 Accuse not a servant unto his master, lest he curse thee, and thou be found guilty.

This scripture tells us if we slander a mans servant it can backfire on us and bring a curse on us. I think that if we slander anyone we are number one not doing the will of God and therefore committing a sin which can bring all kinds of hardships and curses upon us. This is yet another scripture that warns us about how we use our tongue. We need to stay in the word God so that we learn how to control what we say and not be a judge of anyone where we say something about someone we shouldn’t. Please attend a good Bible teaching church today so you can see what God for you.

Proverbs 30:7-9

Proverbs 30:7 Two things have I required of thee; deny me them not before I die:
8 Remove far from me vanity and lies: give me neither poverty nor riches; feed me with food convenient for me:
9 Lest I be full, and deny thee, and say, Who is the LORD? or lest I be poor, and steal, and take the name of my God in vain.

These verses are a prayer asking for two things.The first being vanity and lies coupled together as one,and he asked that he not be a vain person or someone who lies. The other thing was not to be overcome by wealth, as you might think you no longer need God, or poverty as, it may cause you to become a thief or a sluggard. Verse 9 reveals to us why this prayer was prayed, because he did not want to get to place where he feels he no longer needs God and says who is the Lord. Also it sates again that if he is poor he could be tempted to sin and take the Lords name in vain. This should certainly be our prayer, as well. Most sin comes because of vanity and lies and because of greed. God help us to walk in your ways and not our own.
