It’s a tough life living in this house. You gotta make sure the cats take their naps; you gotta make sure Mom’s chair stays warm; you gotta make sure that blanket stays in place….
It’s a tough job, but I’m up for the task.

Phillipians 2:12 Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. 13 For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.

14 Do all things without murmurings and disputings: 15 That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world; 16 Holding forth the word of life; that I may rejoice in the day of Christ, that I have not run in vain, neither laboured in vain. 17 Yea, and if I be offered upon the sacrifice and service of your faith, I joy, and rejoice with you all. 18 For the same cause also do ye joy, and rejoice with me.”

Dad & Me: A Note from Hope

16

Have I told ya’ll lately how much I love my dad? I love mom too, of course, but I get really excited when dad comes home.
Sometimes, when he rides the bike to work, I can hear him when he comes in the driveway. Mom and I run to the front door so I can catch him in the carport.
But sometimes, he sneaks into the house before we know it; all of a sudden, he’s standing in the office door – so I have to run and jump all around the room until he has patted me and talked to me.
Before we go to bed every night, he plays “roll over” with me. I like it when he makes funny noises, too – he shakes the whole bed trying to get me to bark. Mom just rolls her eyes and tries to sleep, but I think it might be a little bit hard- we make a LOT of noise.
One day we went for a ride in dad’s truck. Mom and I stayed in the truck while dad went inside- I don’t know why, but some folks just don’t want dogs in their stores. but it’s OK, I don’t mind waiting outside with mom.
As you can see in this picture, I was making sure dad didn’t forget to come back out. He was gone a long time, but he finally came back- and boy was I excited to see him!
I hope you’re excited when your family and friends come home too – it’s good to let the folks we love, know how we feel.
and get excited about Jesus coming back too! as much as our families and friends love us, Jesus loves us even more.
