Revelation 20:1-3

Revelation 20:1 And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand.
2 And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years,
3 And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season.

Chapter 20 continues with a more detailed account of what happened to Satan and his demons, it does not include those who followed him in the tribulation because they were all killed in the war. Another angel was given power over Satan to lock him up in the bottomless pit. The angel had the keys and a great chain to show how much power he had to do God’s will. Satan is going to be bound for 1000 years where he cannot deceive the nation during this period. Wouldn’t it be awesome if today we did not have to worry about being deceived by Satan, but then if we keep our eyes on Jesus we can resist those temptations. After the 100 years Satan will be released along with his demons to temp man again. Now you say Jesus has been reigning for 1000 years with the saints how many people can Satan deceive. There will be millions of people born in the 1000 years and it is up to their parents to help teach them about Jesus and some of these parents could live the full 1000 years. But you have to realize man has the same choice today because Jesus is with us if we allow Him to be and live like He is a part of our lives. We will see later how many and why. Find you a church today that will teach you the truth of God’s word so you do not have to worry about making though the tribulation.

Revelation 19:17-21

Revelation 19;17 And I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the fowls that fly in the midst of heaven, Come and gather yourselves together unto the supper of the great God;
18 That ye may eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of captains, and the flesh of mighty men, and the flesh of horses, and of them that sit on them, and the flesh of all men, both free and bond, both small and great.
19 And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him that sat on the horse, and against his army.
20 And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.
21 And the remnant were slain with the sword of him that sat upon the horse, which sword proceeded out of his mouth: and all the fowls were filled with their flesh.

Now comes the final blow to Satan and all his followers but before it starts an angel calls all the fowls of the air to gather to the great supper the great God. It does not matter now what position anyone holds in life now they will all be destroyed, along with the animals they ride on, for the feast that the fowls will eat. As the mighty army of Satan gathers, Jesus and His army was ready. But before this war could begin the beast , Satan, the Antichrist, and the false prophet were cast into the lake of fire and locked away for one thousand years. The ones that remained were slain by the One that sat on the white horse whit the sword that proceeded out of His mouth and all the fouls were filled to the brim with the flesh of those slain.

Revelation 19:11-16

Revelation 19:11 And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.
12 His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself.
13 And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.
14 And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.
15 And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.
16 And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.
Now a door opens in heaven and instead of someone going in now we see the one called Faithful and True coming out who in righteousness judges the all the unbelievers of the earth along with Satan, the Antichrist, and the False Prophet and makes war with them. His eyes were as fire which signifies wisdom to see the soul of man and the fire also purifies and brings judgement. The crowns simply mean He is the supreme ruler and has a name that no one knows but Him. He has a vesture dipped in the blood of the defeated enemy and His name now is called the Word of God because as we know God’s word tells us His Words cuts as a two edged sword separating the soul the spirit. Even though He does not need it He brings an army with Him which is all the saints from the beginning of time and they are all dressed in fine white linen, signifying righteousness, and riding on white horses. Even though the armies of the earth have gathered to destroy Him, He opens His mouth and out goeth the sharp sword of His word that will smith all the nations and armies and now He shall rule with a rod of iron, which means people will now only follow the law of God because the King of Kings an Lord of Lords has conquered the armies after the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.

Revelation 19:6-10

Revelation 19:6 And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth.
7 Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready.
8 And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints.
9 And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God.
10 And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.
The praise continues as there are so worshipers now that it is too many to number only to say that because of noise it is likened to that of mighty thundering saying Alleluia to the omnipotent God that reigneth over all.It is now time for marriage of Lamb to His bride. And of course we know that the bride will be arrayed in the finest linen and be clean and white symbolizing the righteousness of the saints. And we know to that blessed are they that are called to marriage supper of the Lamb because these are the redeemed of God. Now John being, so much as we would be today, fell down to worship the angel that had told and showed him this but this angel reminded him that he is just a servant of the most high God and that is where his worship should go because the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy. This is the testimony that followers of God have had through all time that has brought salvation to all believers and thees are the ones attending the marriage supper. If you are stil not sure if this is for you the rest of this book and a church that teaches the true word of God could help you make the right choice.

Hope’s Big Brother, Tank- A Note from Mom

thank1

This is my baby boy, Tank.  He’s been gone almost a year, and it still doesn’t seem right… it’s still hard for me to talk about him. He was such a good dog, a big baby who loved everybody and everything. You don’t get blessed with many dogs like this, and I’m so glad I got to be a part of his life, as short a time as it was.

tank3

This was just a day or two after he came to our house; a friend from north Alabama sent him to me, and I’m forever grateful. He was a happy go lucky boy; loved his naps and playing. Really just a big goof-ball all the time- no matter what he was doing, he could look up with that smile that said, “oh come on, let’s go play!”

We were keeping him in a crate while we were gone to keep him out of trouble…. until one day we came home and he was laying on the sofa, smiling at us. The crate door was still fastened, only bent a little at the top where he had squeezed through. I was never comfortable putting him in one again- I was so afraid the next time he’d really hurt himself trying to get out.

Our next move was blocking off areas of the house by closing doors, only to realize he could open the doors. (80 pounds of Staffordshire Terrier saying ‘open up’ tends to put the fear of God in any door.)

Then we started putting things like bookshelves in the way- not that it made any difference. He’d just move them out of his way.  In his mind, we were giving him a puzzle to solve, and solve them he did!

tank4

His favorite toys were never toys- give him a box or a paper wrapper and he’d stay entertained for hours, flipping it into the air and ripping it into shreds.

But as playful and friendly as he was, NO ONE was allowed into our house without him checking them out; and if he wasn’t sure about someone, he let me know. One night he and I were out walking, and we came home to a strange vehicle in the yard. The man had gotten out and was talking to Randy on the porch, but Tank did not like it at all.  The only word I can use to describe what he did was “stalk”. He kept taking deep breaths, as he gave the man’s car a very wide berth.  He eased quietly, almost on tiptoe, up to the porch. Every muscle was poised to jump. He never growled, but he was on high alert. If the man had made one false move, I’m afraid the rescue squad would have had nothing to work with.

He was a perfect specimen of a Staffie – gorgeous metal-gray and white,  a heart as big as the outdoors and wonderful, sweet temperament.

He started having problems in March; we thought his ears were infected (lots of discharge and shaking his head, walking with it to one side sometimes, etc)  and the vet who saw him gave us something to clean them out, but it didn’t clear up.  All this happened right after we started him on a flea-heartworm treatment pill. I don’t believe for a second that anything in his background caused his health problems- I will always believe it was those pills.

We changed vets, and she also saw problems in his ears, but she also noticed that he seemed to have problems in his spine. I don’t know if he hurt himself or the ear infection was worse and affected other parts of his body, or if the pills damaged more than we realized. We also think he was having seizures- sometimes he would ‘zone out’, grit and grind his teeth, and then hold his head up and back and smack his lips. When he was like this, he also tended to stumble when he walked; otherwise he was his own peppy self, running and playing.

Right towards the end, he couldn’t hear very well; his vision was affected and he got confused a lot. He finally got so he wouldn’t sleep at night, but would pace around- jump up on the bed, then down to walk around the room, then jumping back up on the bed.

I finally had to make the hardest decision a person owned by a dog or cat has to make. Even at the end, as bad as he felt, he was still a sweet, well-tempered dog.

Our very dear friends Leah and Jordan came to help  give him the funeral he deserved. He’s buried in our side yard, and when Hope and I walk every day, we have to stop and visit him.

Hope has helped me heal from my grief- but I won’t ever get over him; I won’t ever forget him….

I have been blessed with three wonderful dogs in my life, so I am far ahead of the average. My baby Caleb, my  baby Tank and now my baby Hope.

For those among you who don’t understand how the loss of a pet can affect you so hard – I can’t explain it other than this:  our pets are a part of our family; they love us unconditionally; they don’t care how good or bad we look, how rich or poor, skinny or  fat we are; they’re gonna love us whether we live in a mansion or a shack – in other words, they show us God’s love every day.

Psalms 147:3 He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.

Save

Save

Revelation 19:1-5

Revelation 19:1 And after these things I heard a great voice of much people in heaven, saying, Alleluia; Salvation, and glory, and honour, and power, unto the Lord our God:
2 For true and righteous are his judgments: for he hath judged the great whore, which did corrupt the earth with her fornication, and hath avenged the blood of his servants at her hand.
3 And again they said, Alleluia. And her smoke rose up for ever and ever.
4 And the four and twenty elders and the four beasts fell down and worshipped God that sat on the throne, saying, Amen; Alleluia.
5 And a voice came out of the throne, saying, Praise our God, all ye his servants, and ye that fear him, both small and great

We now switch scenes from earth to Heaven. It begins with a loud voice praising our Lord God almighty because His judgments are true and righteous. God has judged all the corruption on the earth and avenged the death of His people and the angel continued to praise God. Then remember the four and twenty elders and the four beasts they return an fall down and worship God saying Amen, Alleluia. Then another voice called on all the saints, both small and great, from the beginning of time to praise God for he has finished His work and avenged His people.

Revelation 18: 20-24

Revelation 18:20 Rejoice over her, thou heaven, and ye holy apostles and prophets; for God hath avenged you on her.
21 And a mighty angel took up a stone like a great millstone, and cast it into the sea, saying, Thus with violence shall that great city Babylon be thrown down, and shall be found no more at all.
22 And the voice of harpers, and musicians, and of pipers, and trumpeters, shall be heard no more at all in thee; and no craftsman, of whatsoever craft he be, shall be found any more in thee; and the sound of a millstone shall be heard no more at all in thee;
23 And the light of a candle shall shine no more at all in thee; and the voice of the bridegroom and of the bride shall be heard no more at all in thee: for thy merchants were the great men of the earth; for by thy sorceries were all nations deceived.
24 And in her was found the blood of prophets, and of saints, and of all that were slain upon the earth.
Verse 20 now tells all that have died or been taken in Christ name can rejoice because God has taken His vengeance on Satan and his demons and followers. As the scripture goes on we see another angel take a great milestone and cast it into the sea to destroy once and for all the Babylon and the the commercial and governmental systems. All things that were done by the people that followed the Antichrist will be no more. Even the ones that were the greatest, even the the great deceivers will be no more. Because of the religious system and the governmental and economic system of the whole seven years prophets and saints were slain, even all the way back to the first Babylon that existed was their blood found. Now we are at the the point where when the angel in chapter 16 said “IT IS DONE” that God’s people are avenged for the torment and death they have been through.

Revelation 18:15-19

Revelation18:15 The merchants of these things, which were made rich by her, shall stand afar off for the fear of her torment, weeping and wailing,
16 And saying, Alas, alas, that great city, that was clothed in fine linen, and purple, and scarlet, and decked with gold, and precious stones, and pearls!
17 For in one hour so great riches is come to nought. And every shipmaster, and all the company in ships, and sailors, and as many as trade by sea, stood afar off,
18 And cried when they saw the smoke of her burning, saying, What city is like unto this great city!
19 And they cast dust on their heads, and cried, weeping and wailing, saying, Alas, alas, that great city, wherein were made rich all that had ships in the sea by reason of her costliness! for in one hour is she made desolate.

Verse 15 continues with the destruction of Babylon, or the great world system of commerce, this time looking at the transportation industry. It talks about ships here but you have to know that it means all modes of transportation, plane, train, & truck. They to stand afar off and mourn because of the destruction and fear for their on self’s because of the riches they have gained because of the over priced merchandise. This kind of reminds us of today how for one instance the oil tycoons are ripping people off today. Again the scripture tells us that in one hour the system will collapse, can you imagine that if today all transportation came to halt and all electronics ceased to work what chaos there would be but also what fear would come over the people. we may not see this today but at the end of the tribulation period it will happen. They mourned greatly casting dust on their heads as in the old customs of the people and weep for the riches they now will not have because that great system has been destroyed. They also will continue that weeping as they are cast into that lake of fire for taking advantage of the people and also killing God’s people that did not follow after the beast. We already see so much of what happens in the tribulation happening today and so many can not resist the temptation to follow after the wrong things now how do you think you will ever make it in that 7 year span that is not far away?

Revelation 18: 9-14

Revelation 18:9 And the kings of the earth, who have committed fornication and lived deliciously with her, shall bewail her, and lament for her, when they shall see the smoke of her burning,
10 Standing afar off for the fear of her torment, saying, Alas, alas, that great city Babylon, that mighty city! for in one hour is thy judgment come.
11 And the merchants of the earth shall weep and mourn over her; for no man buyeth their merchandise any more:
12 The merchandise of gold, and silver, and precious stones, and of pearls, and fine linen, and purple, and silk, and scarlet, and all thyine wood, and all manner vessels of ivory, and all manner vessels of most precious wood, and of brass, and iron, and marble,
13 And cinnamon, and odours, and ointments, and frankincense, and wine, and oil, and fine flour, and wheat, and beasts, and sheep, and horses, and chariots, and slaves, and souls of men.
14 And the fruits that thy soul lusted after are departed from thee, and all things which were dainty and goodly are departed from thee, and thou shalt find them no more at all.

Now all the kings and leaders of the earth that were taking advantage of the people that worshiped the beast are beginning to mourn the the destruction of all the economic centers of the world. I believe that it makes reference to city Babylon as being destroyed but you have to realize everything that is happening is happening world wide so all economic centers are being destroyed. All these merchants are distancing themselves from these centers for fear of punishment of themselves. They are saddened by the fact they no longer have any more goods to sell because everything is destroyed .You have to realize a lot of this stuff is things people can do without but there is also destruction to life necessities, such as food and water. It was bad enough to have the mark of the beast to buy and sell but now there is nothing to buy and sell , which can also be attributed to all the destruction that has happened because of all plagues. We see all this as being in the end times but unless we as nation turn back to God we could see some of this happening before that trumpet blows.

Revelation 18:4-8

Revelation 18:4 And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.
5 For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities.
6 Reward her even as she rewarded you, and double unto her double according to her works: in the cup which she hath filled fill to her double.
7 How much she hath glorified herself, and lived deliciously, so much torment and sorrow give her: for she saith in her heart, I sit a queen, and am no widow, and shall see no sorrow.
8 Therefore shall her plagues come in one day, death, and mourning, and famine; and she shall be utterly burned with fire: for strong is the Lord God who judgeth her.

Another angel comes on the scene and puts out a call for God’s people to come out from the the temptations of the Satan. The angel calls them out to help keep them from sinning and having to partake in the plagues to come. Babylon’s sins have reached heaven, like the tower of Babel, except the tower didn’t reach all the before God destroyed it, so you can imagine what is going to take place now. What you sow is what you reap, except hers will be double because of the boasting that was done by the ones saying they are the greatest and no harm will come to them and they will never see any sorrow. Also God will not delay the punishment and destruction that is coming, it will come in one day and there will be total destruction even with fire. Again the same as when the tower was built God wasted no time in destroying it and confounding the languages, a double punishment. We wonder today when we see so people that use their power to destroy people and ask God why do you allow this to continue to happen? Well they also will get their reward based on what the did. So why not today decide to follow God instead of man that can lead you astray and cause you to have to face the punishment of God
