Proverbs 30:11-14

Proverbs 30:11 There is a generation that curseth their father, and doth not bless their mother.
12 There is a generation that are pure in their own eyes, and yet is not washed from their filthiness.
13 There is a generation, O how lofty are their eyes! and their eyelids are lifted up.
14 There is a generation, whose teeth are as swords, and their jaw teeth as knives, to devour the poor from off the earth, and the needy from among men.

These four verses show us a lot of how our society is today. The first verse defies the commandment that says “Honor thy parents where they days may long upon the earth”. Young people today are speaking death over their own lives because they disrespecting their parents. Then there are lots of people who call themselves Christians today that have not been washed in the blood of Jesus but think they are just fine no matter what they do. Then we have people who have been told in there own church that they can be god. Lucifer was tossed out of heaven for these same thoughts. Last we see that there are those who would rather see the poor removed from society altogether rather than reach out to help them. The church to some degree has even said let the government take care of them. This post is a little long but it shows how we as Christians have a lot of work to do which includes a lot of prayer and fasting.
