Proverbs 30:17 The eye that mocketh at his father, and despiseth to obey his mother, the ravens of the valley shall pick it out, and the young eagles shall eat it.
This verse is a reminder of the commandment that says honor thy father and mother so thy days may be long on this earth. This verse takes it little further and says that the untimely death will come and the vultures will pluck the eyes out first before devouring the body. We see so many young people losing their life at an early age today for numerous reasons but is it possible because so many young do not respect their parents today. Let us be more aware today of the young people we can reach out to and help to grow in their faith so they will learn how to respect their parents and live a full life.
