Proverbs 29:15 The rod and reproof give wisdom: but a child left to himself bringeth his mother to shame.
16 When the wicked are multiplied, transgression increaseth: but the righteous shall see their fall.
17 Correct thy son, and he shall give thee rest; yea, he shall give delight unto thy soul.
In these verses we see again that to raise a child up with discipline and wisdom and they will respect people and listen to understanding. But left alone and they will do things that bring shame to the parents. The next verse says if we allow children to do there own thing with no correction the wicked will multiply and their transgressions will increase but the righteous will see their destruction. And again it tells us to correct our children and we shall rest easy at night and our souls will delight in actions of children. Let us learn from this it is never to late to correct our children and continually pray for them to stay on the right path.
