Proverbs 25;8-10

Proverbs 25:8 Go not forth hastily to strive, lest thou know not what to do in the end thereof, when thy neighbour hath put thee to shame.
9 Debate thy cause with thy neighbour himself; and discover not a secret to another:
10 Lest he that heareth it put thee to shame, and thine infamy turn not away.

These verses tell us something about to handle saying the wrong thing. Sometimes we may fire off before we consider what we need to say and then to correct what we said we need to ask for repentance. The thing said between you and someone else should be solved by just you and the other person. We do not need to go gossiping to other people of the trouble we have with someone else. Doing it the right way could win you friend. If you do it the wrong way, as the last verse says, it will put you to shame. If we are faithful in our witness God will bless not only us but those that we help.

Proverbs 25:6-7

Proverbs 25:6 Put not forth thyself in the presence of the king, and stand not in the place of great men:
7 For better it is that it be said unto thee, Come up hither; than that thou shouldest be put lower in the presence of the prince whom thine eyes have seen.

These two verses tell a tale that we see too often. There are people who like to push there way to the top when someone great is around only to be push back down because the person in power knows they are not supposed to be there. This is usually very humiliating for the person pushed back down but it is there own fault. It is better to wait for for a person who is in charge to cal on you to come forth so that you are not embarrassed. If we are learning how to use the wisdom and knowledge of God we will know when to step up and when not to.

Proverbs 25:4-5

Proverbs 25:4 Take away the dross from the silver, and there shall come forth a vessel for the finer.
5 Take away the wicked from before the king, and his throne shall be established in righteousness.

These two verse show us that it takes fire to purify precious metals by separating the pure metal from the impurities. Likewise God purifies us with the problems He puts in our paths with the Holy Ghost and fire. The same is true with the leaders of people they can only lead in righteousness when the wicked that are causing the problems are removed. God’s word tells us to praise Him at all times in our lives no matter what is coming against us because His Grace is sufficient to sustain us. Attend a church today that teaches and preaches the truth of God’s word.

Proverbs 25:1-3

1 These are also proverbs of Solomon, which the men of Hezekiah king of Judah copied out.
2 It is the glory of God to conceal a thing: but the honour of kings is to search out a matter.
3 The heaven for height, and the earth for depth, and the heart of kings is unsearchable.

The first verse here tells us that this is where King Hezekiah had the wisdom of David and Solomon to try to bring revival to Judah. In verses two and three we see where there is a comparison to God and the king. God’s knowledge is above all human knowledge and we know God still conceals His knowledge from us specifically about the end of time. He also reveals knowledge and wisdom to us as He sees we can handle it. A man can never search out all the heavens and cannot go to the center of the earth, neither can he really know what is in the heart of a king. From this we learn to be patent and let God give us what we need when we need it.

Proverbs 24:30-34

Proverbs 24:30 I went by the field of the slothful, and by the vineyard of the man void of understanding;31 And, lo, it was all grown over with thorns, and nettles had covered the face thereof, and the stone wall thereof was broken down.32 Then I saw, and considered it well: I looked upon it, and received instruction.33 Yet a little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to sleep:34 So shall thy poverty come as one that travelleth; and thy want as an armed man.

This chapter winds up showing us once again the lazy person. It tells us the field of the slothful person has nothing growing in it just as he is not gaining knowledge. The field is grown over with thorns and thistles and the fence around the field is broken down. After looking over the situation we see that this person is in some serious trouble. Because this person is more interested in just sleeping his life away and not lifting a hand to do any kind of work he will live in poverty of not only material things but also spiritual things. Just as a person who robs people for what they want so this lazy person will only want for what others have. This will wind up sending him in direction that only leads to further destruction. We need to try to instill in our children as they grow up that a good work ethic is important in in life just as a desire to gain the wisdom and knowledge God.

Proverbs 24:27-29

Proverbs 24:27 Prepare thy work without, and make it fit for thyself in the field; and afterwards build thine house.
28 Be not a witness against thy neighbour without cause; and deceive not with thy lips.
29 Say not, I will do so to him as he hath done to me: I will render to the man according to his work.

These verses share some good wisdom for us. First we see it is good when you are starting out to make sure you have a good job and start saving to to be able to build latter on and start a family. Plan for you are wanting to do in future and make sure you will be financially secure when you begin to establish your home. Next we see that we should not gossip or speak untruths about people. If you were ask to testify in court you would have to tell the truth, so we should not spread rumors just to get stuff started about someone. Finally it is not our place to get revenge, vengeance is Mine saith the Lord. God will always fight our battles for us if we will allow Him to.We need to always prepare for is we plan to accomplish and not speak badly of people and let God handle those that do us wrong.

Proverbs 24:23-26

Proverbs 24:23 These things also belong to the wise. It is not good to have respect of persons in judgment.
24 He that saith unto the wicked, Thou art righteous; him shall the people curse, nations shall abhor him:
25 But to them that rebuke him shall be delight, and a good blessing shall come upon them.
26 Every man shall kiss his lips that giveth a right answer.

We are in a part of proverbs now that shows us some ways that think and the right and wrong way way things are done. First we see that those who are in judgement if they say that the guilty are innocent they will cause society to be unstable and and riot. But if the people who are guilty are judged and given the punishment they deserve the people will praise him for the right judgement and the Lord will also be pleased and blessings will flow. This last verse is saying that a just and righteous response is as desirable as this most intimate expression of friendship. we should always support the leaders that are do what is right in the eyes of God and pray for those who do not.

Proverbs 24:21-22

Proverbs 24:21 My son, fear thou the LORD and the king: and meddle not with them that are given to change:
22 For their calamity shall rise suddenly; and who knoweth the ruin of them both?

Here we see that we are to give respect an fear to God and a ruler. We are to honor and worship God our Father and we are to give civil respect and political obedience to our rulers. Also we are to have nothing to do with those that are anarchists who are as wanting to change things in government and religion. Anarchy is a very dangerous spirit that can creep up on people that are not close to God. For those that cause this trouble calamity will come on both those who rebel against the ruler and those that rebel against God. Let us pray and support our government that God will be a leading factor in the decisions they make.

Proverbs 24:19-20

Proverbs 24:19 Fret not thyself because of evil men, neither be thou envious at the wicked;
20 For there shall be no reward to the evil man; the candle of the wicked shall be put out.

These two verses tell us what we already should know. The evil and wicked of this world have their reward while they are here on this earth. We are not to worry or be concerned about how much they have or what they get away with for the Lord will deal with them at the end of time. There is no future for wicked and most of the time their family because of how they raise their children. If they do not repent of their wrong doing and evil ways they will be cast into the lake of fire and those that have held on and stay true to God will receive their reward in Heaven. Let us not let the bad dealings of the wicked cause us to fall from the grace of
God but stay strong in His Word and in Faith so we can receive His promises.

Proverbs 24:17-18

Proverbs 24:17 Rejoice not when thine enemy falleth, and let not thine heart be glad when he stumbleth:
18 Lest the LORD see it, and it displease him, and he turn away his wrath from him.

These two verses are kind of hard for some people to grasp hold of. The word tells us to love our enemies and even pray for them and we may say well I do that but do we hold true to that when we see them fall or get the punishment they deserve. You know God sees what is in our heart and it displeases Him when we do not lift our enemies even though we know they are against us. To god it is a sin for us react in a negative way to our enemies or rejoice when they fall. God could decide to bring the same punishment against us. Also he may just decide not to let anything bad befall him. Please attend a good Bible believing church today and as in most churches to day they will be honoring their earthly fathers so please go today and help honor our heavenly Father with our praise to Him.
