Proverbs 7: 1-3

Proverbs 7:1 My son, keep my words, and lay up my commandments with thee.
2 Keep my commandments, and live; and my law as the apple of thine eye.
3 Bind them upon thy fingers, write them upon the table of thine heart.

We see here the father’s love for us in teaching us the ways of righteousness. Learning of commandments that keep us out of trouble will also save our life. We are to guard and protect our father’s teachings because they give us spiritual and moral sight. This is a call to give the truth of divine wisdom a permanent place in the mind and in conduct. The tables of our heart are the very place for all of God’s laws to be. The world might do away with our Bibles, but they could not do away with the things we have hidden in our heart.
