1 Corinthians 11 : 1 – 2

1 Corinthians 11 : Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ. Now I praise you, brethren, that ye remember me in all things, and keep the ordinances, as I delivered them to you.

Paul begins this chapter telling the people he has tried to live the kind of life that they could follow. We have seen it more than once that the kind of life we lead is a sermon that we preach every day and this is what Paul was saying. He wanted to be the best Christian example he could be for people to pattern their lives after him because he felt his walk was full of Christ. As a Christian this is how we should live and fell that we can be that witness that helps someone find their way to Christ.  Next Paul is lifting up the followers because they have chosen to follow the practices that he has set up for them and did away with the things that were not of God. This shows us that we should always encourage those that have chosen to follow the Lord Jesus Christ.
