1 John 1:4 And these things write we unto you, that your joy may be full.
5 This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.
In this first verse we see John wants us to know that we can have joy all the time. If we allow Jesus to dwell in us we can have constant fellowship with Him and therefore have joy unspeakable. This is to help us to see that walking with Christ brings a deep sense of satisfaction and purpose and thus bringing joy. Verse 5 goes on to tell us that because God is the light and in Him is no darkness so nothing can hinder His truth and holiness. If you Christ in your you cannot have darkness in your because light dispels the dankness. With this Light in life you life you will have complete joy overflowing.
