Proverbs 25:15 By long forbearing is a prince persuaded, and a soft tongue breaketh the bone.
16 Hast thou found honey? eat so much as is sufficient for thee, lest thou be filled therewith, and vomit it.
There are two good lessons here. First we see that if we stay calm and speak without anger or prejudice people will listen to us and be persuaded to do what we ask. When we speak kindly to others it has more of an effect on them than if we beat them over head about something. It is always better to treat someone the way you would want to be treated. Second we see that to much of a good thing is not good for us. This applies in all situations whether it be foo, work, or enjoyments. If we eat too much it makes us sick. If we work to much it wears us out and can make us sick. when we are doing things for enjoyment we can over do it and and cause us not to want to do it any more plus wear us out .So from these verses let see that we need to control our speech and to do things in moderation so as to be ready for other things to say and do.
