Proverbs 19:4-5

Proverbs 19:4 Wealth maketh many friends; but the poor is separated from his neighbour.
5 A false witness shall not be unpunished, and he that speaketh lies shall not escape.

This first verse shows us that people will run to those who have wealth to try to make friends with them but will not even take the time to visit the less fortunate people. Poverty alienates people because they get tired of the demands of the poor. This is not what Jesus intended because it it is showing respect for people because of their position and wealth. The next verse tells us that anyone who lies will reap what he sows and be punished in due time. Lying or false witnessing can be considered perjury and we all know in our courts today perjury is a crime and punishable by fine or imprisonment. People may think they are getting away with lying her on this earth but when they come before God and are found guilty they will be punished.
