1 Corinthians 10 : 16 – 17

1 Corinthians 10 : 16 The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body of Christ? 17 For we being many are one bread, and one body: for we are all partakers of that one bread.

We see in these two verses something that is very failure to anyone who is a child of God. We know at the Passover meal Jesus set a practice for all Christians to do in remembrance of what He did for us. We take of the cup as a symbol of the blood Jesus shed for us and we take of the bread to symbolize Him giving His body for our healing and salvation. Because we do this in remembrance of Him and what He did it makes us all one body in Christ.  We should be able to work and worship together, not as a religious body or a denomination, but as a` child of Christ to serve and do His will in our lives in everything we do and say every day.  Please attend a church today that lifts up our Savior in praise and worship and let God fill your heart to over .following so you can be a good witness for Him

1 Corinthians 9 : 1-2

1 Corinthians 9 : 1 Am I not an apostle? am I not free? have I not seen Jesus Christ our Lord? are not ye my work in the Lord? If I be not an apostle unto others, yet doubtless I am to you: for the seal of mine apostleship are ye in the Lord.

He is reminding them that his authority had come from him being an apostle of Jesus Christ. He also, reminds them that his calling was a dramatic call when he actually came in contact with the Light of the world. Jesus Christ Himself, who had sent Paul to minister to these people. He goes on to remind them that they were Christians through his ministry an he says, you are my children in the Lord. The Jews in nearly every city had rejected Paul, but he had been accepted here at Corinth by these believers. The existence of the church in Corinth was evidence of Paul’s apostolic authenticity. Paul helps us to see here that sometimes people may question our beliefs so we have to stand strong in what we believe and and show them  how we know what we know and that is the word of  God.

Philippians 2:6-8

Something to really ponder on today.

Philippians 2:6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:
7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:
8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.

He gave everything to give us everything so we should not hesitate to give Him the praise and glory he deserves while we share this message with all we come in contact with.

Philippians 2:1

Thought for today!

Philippians 2:1 If there be therefore any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any bowels and mercies,
2 Fulfil ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind.
3 Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves.
4 Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others.
5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:

2 Corinthians 6:14-18

Just A thought for today.

2 Corinthians 6:14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?
15 And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?
16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you,
18 And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.

1 John 2 : 6

1 John 2:6 He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.

This scripture tells us the the second way to know Christ. It is simply said and that is to walk as Christ walked. IF we say we abide in Christ then we should be able to walk as Christ did. If we can follow in His footprints in our walk every day we will be less likely to fail in pleasing God. If we walk as Christ walked it means we are putting our sinful ways away and trying our best to the will of the Father. Walking as Christ walked means that we will try to do our to please the father because Jesus did exactly what the Father ask Him to do. This walk will bring us closer to God every day if we will strive to be Christ.

Proverbs 12 : 26-27

Proverbs 12:26 The righteous is more excellent than his neighbour: but the way of the wicked seduceth them.
27 The slothful man roasteth not that which he took in hunting: but the substance of a diligent man is precious.

These verses again show contrast between different kinds of people. A righteous person is always thinking of others and is valuable to his community. A righteous person guides his friends in the right direction and even tries to win people to the saving grace of Jesus Christ. The wicked on the other hand is always trying to bring people down with him in what ever he is doing and the yare usually always in trouble. They even want things others have and are always causing their neighbors problems.
The slothful person does not know how to make good use of what he has. They usually never finish the task they have to do so lose any opportunity they have to gain from what they could done. For the one who is diligent in what he does and accomplishes what he sets out to do gains perseverance. There is always greater reward in accomplishing things than there is in continually putting things off till tomorrow.

Scout’s Tail: A Note from Hope

scout-tail

This is Scout’s tail…. I know it looks like every other dog’s tail, but it’s not! It’s special, just like she is. You might not be able to tell by the picture, but her tail is black at the end – it looks like someone dipped her tail in ink.

She is very smart- I’m teaching her how to chase and play with the kittens, and how to get under the truck when you don’t want Mom to catch you.  I’m also teaching her how to jump on the sofa so we can take our naps; it’s so much more comfortable than the floor. The most important thing I’m teaching her, though, is that Jesus loves everybody, even little dogs like us.  I love Him too, so I want to do what He wants me to.

Mom says she is very proud of us, and she calls us her Thunder Girls –  she says some of Jesus’ friends were called “Sons of Thunder” because of their fiery tempers; she says we’re going to work for Jesus too, but we’re going to temper our “thunder” with love and grace.

Mark 3:13 And he went up on the mountain and called to him those whom he desired, and they came to him. 14 And he appointed twelve (whom he also named apostles) so that they might be with him and he might send them out to preach 15 and have authority to cast out demons. 16 He appointed the twelve: Simon (to whom he gave the name Peter); 17 James the son of Zebedee and John the brother of James (to whom he gave the name Boanerges, that is, Sons of Thunder); 18 Andrew, and Philip, and Bartholomew, and Matthew, and Thomas, and James the son of Alphaeus, and Thaddaeus, and Simon the Zealot, 19 and Judas Iscariot, who betrayed him.

Revelation 7:4-8

Revelation 7:4 And I heard the number of them which were sealed: and there were sealed an hundred and forty and four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel.
5 Of the tribe of Juda were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Reuben were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Gad were sealed twelve thousand.
6 Of the tribe of Aser were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Nepthalim were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Manasses were sealed twelve thousand.
7 Of the tribe of Simeon were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Levi were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Issachar were sealed twelve thousand.
8 Of the tribe of Zabulon were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Joseph were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Benjamin were sealed twelve thousand.

Here in verse 4 thru 8 we see where the 144000 come from . They chosen by God from the 12 tribes of Israel and are Jews. They are some religions teaching today that you can work hard for God and become one of these chosen to be in the 144000. Also as we later in chapter 14 these 144000 were male virgins. Again they are sealed by God to preach the gospel and they cannot be hurt.
