Revelation 14: 12-13

Revelation 14:12 Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.
13 And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them.
 
The patience spoken of here is not ordinary patience, it perseverance and endurance. These saints are the ones who have stayed true to God in the tribulation period and kept the faith of Jesus. The are most likely killed by the Antichrist and therefore are martyrs.When they go to heaven they will be allowed to rest until Jesus Millennium reign and then they will be reward for their works in reigning with Jesus along with the rest of the saints. You know as hard as it is to have patience today it would be a lot better to go ahead and get on God’s side now than to think you can have that kind of patience in the tribulation.

Matthew 15
22 And, behold, a woman of Canaan came out of the same coasts, and cried unto him, saying, Have mercy on me, O Lord, thou Son of David; my daughter is grievously vexed with a devil. 23 But he answered her not a word. (emphasis added)  And his disciples came and besought him, saying, Send her away; for she crieth after us. 24 But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel. 25 Then came she and worshipped him, saying, Lord, help me. 26 But he answered and said, It is not meet to take the children’s bread, and to cast it to dogs. 27 And she said, Truth, Lord: yet the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their masters’ table. 28 Then Jesus answered and said unto her, O woman, great is thy faith: be it unto thee even as thou wilt. And her daughter was made whole from that very hour.

Bro Jerry Trotter was in revival in Grand Ridge a few days ago, and Randy and I were blessed to be able to go down on Sunday night and be with them.

He preached on the scriptures above; he made sure we saw that Jesus did not respond at all to the woman’s request about her daughter; at least not in the beginning.

Bro Jerry pointed out that even when God is quiet, it doesn’t mean He’s not working.

We want God to move on our timetable, but if you’ve been in a relationship with Him for very long, you know that God does things on His timetable, not ours. That may sound mean, but it’s not. Because, beloved, God knows exactly when to move and exactly what to do. He knows that the timing has to be perfect in order for His will to be done perfectly.

It’s hard sometimes, but we have to trust Him to know what He’s doing. He hung the moon and stars – he set the earth on it’s axis – He spoke the universe into existence.  He knows what He’s doing.

Revelation 14:9-11

Revealtion 14:9 And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand,
10 The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb:
11 And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.
 
The third angel now appears and in essence is trying to get people to make the right choice for God by letting them know what they will be facing if the choose Satan and his mark. If they chose Satan the will suffer the effects of fire an brimstone just like Sodom & Gomorrah. They will not ever have any rest day or night in contrast to the peace and joy Christians will have in heaven. It also talks of the smoke of the torment ,you you can not have smoke without fire, which the the eternal fire of hell which it says will be forever and ever, in other words eternity.

Useless or Useful?

This old water tower is behind town hall in Rutledge. It was erected in the early ’50s and was used for many years to help provide water for the folks in town.

But like many things, it was no longer useful- two bigger water towers were put up in other parts of town. Because of regulations on how municipal water towers are maintained, it didn’t hold enough water to make the costs to keep it in shape worthwhile.

So now it sits behind town hall, waiting.  The town would love to see someone take it and make something useful out of it. Maybe sit on someone’s ranch or farm, and maybe like the one in Montgomery that graces the area where some swanky downtown restaurants are.

Do you ever wonder if you’re useful or not? Look around- maybe you’re just in the wrong spot!

Gen. 12:1-3 Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father’s house, unto a land that I will shew thee:  And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing:  And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.

Revelation 14:8

Revelation 14:8 And there followed another angel, saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.
 
Another angel comes saying Babylon has fallen ,but this is not talking about the city but about the world government because it controlled everything and it just begins to to destroyed at the middle of tribulation. This in some way is another warning at the midpoint that it is time to make a decision who you are going to follow Satan or God.

Revelation 14:6 And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people,
7 Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.
 
We now have a new angel taking flight. This angel is going to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ to every corner of world in every language to every person. This is happening at the mid point of the tribulation right before Satan, the Antichrist, and the false profit begin to try to convince everyone to worship them. In Matthew 24:14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come. As we know there is no other prophecy to come to pass except the rapture of the church and this happens before all the world hears the gospel, and could happen any day now. One unique thing about God using an angle to spread the gospel is it is the first time He has done this and He wants to know that everyone has had the chance to make the right decision so when they stand before Him in judgement they cannot say they have never heard the of the saving grace of the Gospel.Why does anyone want to wait till 3&1/2 years into the tribulation to here an angel when you can go to a church today that teaches the true word of God and the gospel and get saved before the rapture.

-make sure your words are sweet- you may have to eat them later.
-never say anything you’ll have to explain to your Mama, your spouse or your pastor.

Revelation 14:1-5

Revelation 14:1 And I looked, and, lo, a Lamb stood on the mount Zion, and with him an hundred forty and four thousand, having his Father’s name written in their foreheads.
2 And I heard a voice from heaven, as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of a great thunder: and I heard the voice of harpers harping with their harps:
3 And they sung as it were a new song before the throne, and before the four beasts, and the elders: and no man could learn that song but the hundred and forty and four thousand, which were redeemed from the earth.
4 These are they which were not defiled with women; for they are virgins. These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth. These were redeemed from among men, being the firstfruits unto God and to the Lamb.
5 And in their mouth was found no guile: for they are without fault before the throne of God.

Now we see The lamb of God in Heaven with another 144000 that were redeemed from the earth. It is believed this is a different 144000 than ones from the 12 tribes of Israel Because they have the Fathers name written in their foreheads instead of being sealed by God. Also the scripture tells us theses were redeemed from among men of the world. This could include men from all time before the rapture until the rapture.These men were also pure in every fashion with no guile in their mouth. They came singing a new song before all the elders and beast in Heaven. They also had the orchestra of Heaven playing for them. They also will follow the Lamb wherever He goes. All of this is getting ready for the last 3 & 1/2 years of the tribulation.

Revelation 13:14 And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live.
15 And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.
16 And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:
17 And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.
18 Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six
As we close this chapter we see the false profit still deceiving the people by the power given to him by Satan and the Antichrist. He commands the people to build an image to the beast, kind of like the image Nebuchadnezzar built of himself, for people to worship. He made the image to come to life and the image spake and declared that all who would not worship the image be destroyed, sound familiar. And the profit declared that all adults and children were to receive a mark in their right hand or foreheads and if you did not have the mark then you could not buy or sell anything, including food and water. This stipulation is what is going to cause a lot of people to turn away from God for fear of losing their life, but what is worse to to stay true to God and die and be with Him in eternity or take the mark of the beast and spend eternity in hell with Satan. Also if you take the mark you are condemned and cannot come back to God. Almost everyone knows the mark and number of the beast is 666. I have to say to that you cannot accidentally get this mark you have to openly accept it saying you will worship the beast.
