Revelation 18:15-19

Revelation18:15 The merchants of these things, which were made rich by her, shall stand afar off for the fear of her torment, weeping and wailing,
16 And saying, Alas, alas, that great city, that was clothed in fine linen, and purple, and scarlet, and decked with gold, and precious stones, and pearls!
17 For in one hour so great riches is come to nought. And every shipmaster, and all the company in ships, and sailors, and as many as trade by sea, stood afar off,
18 And cried when they saw the smoke of her burning, saying, What city is like unto this great city!
19 And they cast dust on their heads, and cried, weeping and wailing, saying, Alas, alas, that great city, wherein were made rich all that had ships in the sea by reason of her costliness! for in one hour is she made desolate.
 
Verse 15 continues with the destruction of Babylon, or the great world system of commerce, this time looking at the transportation industry. It talks about ships here but you have to know that it means all modes of transportation, plane,train, & truck. They to stand afar off and mourn because of the destruction and fear for their on self’s because of the riches they have gained because of the over priced merchandise. This kind of reminds us of today how for one instance the oil tycoons are ripping people off today. Again the scripture tells us that in one hour the system will collapse, can you imagine that if today all transportation came to halt and all electronics ceased to work what chaos there would be but also what fear would come over the people. we may not see this today but at the end of the tribulation period it will happen. They mourned greatly casting dust on their heads as in the old customs of the people and weep for the riches they now will not have because that great system has been destroyed. They also will continue that weeping as they are cast into that lake of fire for taking advantage of the people and also killing God’s people that did not follow after the beast.We already see so much of what happens in the tribulation happening today and so many can not resist the temptation to follow after the wrong things now how do you think you will ever make it in that 7 year span that is not far away?

Revelation 18: 9-14

Revelation 18:9 And the kings of the earth, who have committed fornication and lived deliciously with her, shall bewail her, and lament for her, when they shall see the smoke of her burning,
10 Standing afar off for the fear of her torment, saying, Alas, alas, that great city Babylon, that mighty city! for in one hour is thy judgment come.
11 And the merchants of the earth shall weep and mourn over her; for no man buyeth their merchandise any more:
12 The merchandise of gold, and silver, and precious stones, and of pearls, and fine linen, and purple, and silk, and scarlet, and all thyine wood, and all manner vessels of ivory, and all manner vessels of most precious wood, and of brass, and iron, and marble,
13 And cinnamon, and odours, and ointments, and frankincense, and wine, and oil, and fine flour, and wheat, and beasts, and sheep, and horses, and chariots, and slaves, and souls of men.
14 And the fruits that thy soul lusted after are departed from thee, and all things which were dainty and goodly are departed from thee, and thou shalt find them no more at all.
 
Now all the kings and leaders of the earth that were taking advantage of the people that worshiped the beast are beginning to mourn the the destruction of all the economic centers of the world. I believe that it makes reference to city Babylon as being destroyed but you have to realize everything that is happening is happening world wide so all economic centers are being destroyed. All these merchants are distancing themselves from these centers for fear of punishment of themselves. They are saddened by the fact they no longer have any more goods to sell because everything is destroyed .You have to realize a lot of this stuff is things people can do without but there is also destruction to life necessities, such as food and water. It was bad enough to have the mark of the beast to buy and sell but now there is nothing to buy and sell , which can also be attributed to all the destruction that has happened because of all plagues. We see all this as being in the end times but unless we as nation turn back to God we could see some of this happening before that trumpet blows.

Revelation 18:4-8

Revelation 18:4 And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.
5 For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities.
6 Reward her even as she rewarded you, and double unto her double according to her works: in the cup which she hath filled fill to her double.
7 How much she hath glorified herself, and lived deliciously, so much torment and sorrow give her: for she saith in her heart, I sit a queen, and am no widow, and shall see no sorrow.
8 Therefore shall her plagues come in one day, death, and mourning, and famine; and she shall be utterly burned with fire: for strong is the Lord God who judgeth her.
 
Another angel comes on the scene and puts out a call for God’s people to come out from the the temptations of the Satan. The angel calls them out to help keep them from sinning and having to partake in the plagues to come. Babylon’s sins have reached heaven, like the tower of Babel, except the tower didn’t reach all the before God destroyed it, so you can imagine what is going to take place now. What you sow is what you reap, except hers will be double because of the boasting that was done by the ones saying they are the greatest and no harm will come to them and they will never see any sorrow. Also God will not delay the punishment and destruction that is coming, it will come in one day and there will be total destruction even with fire. Again the same as when the tower was built God wasted no time in destroying it and confounding the languages, a double punishment. We wonder today when we see so people that use their power to destroy people and ask God why do you allow this to continue to happen? Well they also will get their reward based on what the did. So why not today decide to follow God instead of man that can lead you astray and cause you to have to face the punishment of God

Revelation 18: 1-3

Revelation 18:1 And after these things I saw another angel come down from heaven, having great power; and the earth was lightened with his glory.2 And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird.3 For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies.
 
As this chapter starts we see another angel with great power that shine light over all the earth. We need to understand that as chapter 18 starts that the religious Babylon or Mystery Babylon has been destroyed and we now have Babylon The Great or the government and business Babylon, and remember to that the effects of everything that is happening is world wide. We are at the point where people have taken the mark of the beast or been protected by God if they were not killed for their commitment to God. This angel cries Babylon the great has fallen and evil is running rampant. All the leaders and kings of the earth think they are above everybody because of their riches that they gained from the people of the earth that took the mark. There is no sin that is not running wild at this point. The kings and governments of this time are in total control because they were able to get the people to worship the beast. Do we not see today how easy it is for government to control so much?

Revelation 17: 15-18

Revelation 17:15 And he saith unto me, The waters which thou sawest, where the whore sitteth, are peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues.
16 And the ten horns which thou sawest upon the beast, these shall hate the whore, and shall make her desolate and naked, and shall eat her flesh, and burn her with fire.
17 For God hath put in their hearts to fulfil his will, and to agree, and give their kingdom unto the beast, until the words of God shall be fulfilled.
18 And the woman which thou sawest is that great city, which reigneth over the kings of the earth.
 
As we learned earlier the waters that the whore, or church, was in control of was all people, nations, and tongues.
She did this for the first three and on half years with the help of the Antichrist but the religions order had more control in this time period. Because of the power that the whore had for this time period and the assumed dearth of the Antichrist at the half way point and resurrection by the beast of the Antichrist the ten horns came into power and had enough of the religions rule. They destroy the whore completely which cases everyone to worship the beast or Satan himself. This is where all people left on earth have to take the mark of the beast or stay true to God and face death.We have to remember that God is still in control, He put in the hearts of those who were against Him to fulfill His will. Verse 18 mentions the woman one more time because the city where she ruled from has been the city that down through the centuries has been a place of evil, Babylon.Chapter 17 was all about the destruction of the church now chapter 18 is going to get into the destruction of Satan. Also remember Satan may think he has accomplished defeat again but we know that God is even in control Satan.

Revelation 17 : 12-14

Revelation 17:12 And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast.
13 These have one mind, and shall give their power and strength unto the beast.
14 These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful.
 
The ten horns that John saw were ten kingdoms that rule the earth at some period in the last three and one half years. They are part of the revived Roman empire but they also rule the whole world. These ten kings that rule the world will give all their power and support to the beast. They will all come together to make war with the Lamb, Jesus Christ. However who is Lord of Lords and King of Kings? Jesus, the Son of God, and he will defeat Satan and his armies. All the saints of all time that come to fight with Jesus are those that were chosen from the beginning of time and have stayed faithful and true. You know we fight this battle with Jesus at the end of time but we fight a constant battle today for Jesus by standing on our faith and proclaiming that He is the only true God. For those of you that do not Christ as your Savior today please find you a place to worship where you can come to know Him.

Revelation 17:9-11

Revelation 17:9 And here is the mind which hath wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains, on which the woman sitteth.
10 And there are seven kings: five are fallen, and one is, and the other is not yet come; and when he cometh, he must continue a short space.
11 And the beast that was, and is not, even he is the eighth, and is of the seven, and goeth into perdition.
 
We now learn about the 7 hills on which the woman sitteth. Remember also this woman represents the church that is in control and because it is in Rome we believe it to be the Roman Catholic Church that has been in existence through most time period covered by these 7 kings that have ruled or will rule . These are the first six kingdoms Egypt, Assyria, Babylonia, Medo-Persia, Greece, and Rome. The seventh king will be the Antichrist that rules the first three and one half years, and remember he is presumed to be killed and when he is raised from the supposedly raised from the dead he is empowered completely by the beast or Satan. This makes him the eight and final king and will be cast into the lake of fire at the end. It is believed the Antichrist will come out of the revived Roman empire. Also remember the woman is destroyed after the first three and one half years so the Antichrist rules the whole world.

Revelation 17:7-8

Revelation 17:7 And the angel said unto me, Wherefore didst thou marvel? I will tell thee the mystery of the woman, and of the beast that carrieth her, which hath the seven heads and ten horns.
8 The beast that thou sawest was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and go into perdition: and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose names were not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is.
 
The angel wondered why John marveled and tells him he will explain to him about the beast and the woman and the seven heads and ten horns.It talks of the beast that was, the ruler in the first 3 and 1/2, and is not, he is presumed dead midway in the tribulation, and is yet, is the Antichrist appearing to be resurrected like Christ. The last one will be the Antichrist that leads so many to turn from God but those who know the truth will not waver. These whose names were not written in the book of life will wonder after the destruction of in the last half of tribulation about the one that was, and is not , and yet is. They will actually realize they have followed the wrong one but it is too late.Today you still have a chance to make the decision to accept Christ and not have to face the tribulation at all, want you make that decision today?

Revelaton 17:1 And there came one of the seven angels which had the seven vials, and talked with me, saying unto me, Come hither; I will shew unto thee the judgment of the great whore that sitteth upon many waters:
2 With whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication.
3 So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns.
4 And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication:
5 And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.
6 And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus: and when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration.
 
At the end of chapter 16 the 7 years of tribulation ends but now one of the 7 last angels comes to John and says I will show you what happens to the great whore, which is actually the religions order of first three and one half years. It says she sits on many waters which means she rules over seas of people, and do not forget the true church was taken in rapture . This church committed many religious wrongs. It shows us that she was empowered by the beast with seven heads and ten horns, the rule of Satan himself. we see the church was basically a financial storehouse of not only material things but abominations and fornication. The names of this church are listed in verse 5 showing what this church represented and where it’s head quarters was located. Verse 6 tells us this church was responsible for the death many of the saints and it made John wonder. Remember John’s physical state he cannot see, but by the spirit he is seeing all this. All of this takes place in the first half of the tribulation with the destruction of the religions order at the end of the first 3 an 1/2 years and then the reign of the Antichrist begins. We can see already in the religions of today how people can be lead in wrong direction and these religions condemn the true worshipers of God. Please find you church today that teaches the truth of God’s word.

Revelation 16:17 And the seventh angel poured out his vial into the air; and there came a great voice out of the temple of heaven, from the throne, saying, It is done.
18 And there were voices, and thunders, and lightnings; and there was a great earthquake, such as was not since men were upon the earth, so mighty an earthquake, and so great.
19 And the great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell: and great Babylon came in remembrance before God, to give unto her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of his wrath.
20 And every island fled away, and the mountains were not found.
21 And there fell upon men a great hail out of heaven, every stone about the weight of a talent: and men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail; for the plague thereof was exceeding great.
 
IT IS DONE! The seventh angel has poured out his vile and as God has spoken so many time with a loud voice He says now with this vial it is done. Also along with this came thundering s and lightnings and a great earthquake bigger than man had ever seen.It split Jerusalem into 3 parts and all the cities of the nations fell. And God remembered Babylon and serve them the fierceness of his wrath. The quake so great that all the islands disappeared and the mountains were leveled preparing the earth for its new beginning. But God is not quite finished lastly He drops 100 pound hail stones on the rebellious people of the earth and instead of them repenting now they still curse and blaspheme God. We wander today how people can be so stupid to believe in things that are totally false but yet you do everything you can to change their minds and knowing it is not going to make a difference, well this is how it is in the tribulation, do you want to be one these that their hearts have been hardened so that it does not matter?
