Revelation 17:7-8

Revelation 17:7 And the angel said unto me, Wherefore didst thou marvel? I will tell thee the mystery of the woman, and of the beast that carrieth her, which hath the seven heads and ten horns.
8 The beast that thou sawest was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and go into perdition: and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose names were not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is.

The angel wondered why John marveled and tells him he will explain to him about the beast and the woman and the seven heads and ten horns. It talks of the beast that was, the ruler in the first 3 and 1/2, and is not, he is presumed dead midway in the tribulation, and is yet, is the Antichrist appearing to be resurrected like Christ. The last one will be the Antichrist that leads so many to turn from God but those who know the truth will not waver. These whose names were not written in the book of life will wonder after the destruction of in the last half of tribulation about the one that was, and is not , and yet is. They will actually realize they have followed the wrong one but it is too late.Today you still have a chance to make the decision to accept Christ and not have to face the tribulation at all, want you make that decision today?

Revelation 17:1-6

Revelaton 17:1 And there came one of the seven angels which had the seven vials, and talked with me, saying unto me, Come hither; I will shew unto thee the judgment of the great whore that sitteth upon many waters:
2 With whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication.
3 So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns.
4 And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication:
5 And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.
6 And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus: and when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration.

At the end of chapter 16 the 7 years of tribulation ends but now one of the 7 last angels comes to John and says I will show you what happens to the great whore, which is actually the religions order of first three and one half years. It says she sits on many waters which means she rules over seas of people, and do not forget the true church was taken in rapture . This church committed many religious wrongs. It shows us that she was empowered by the beast with seven heads and ten horns, the rule of Satan himself. we see the church was basically a financial storehouse of not only material things but abominations and fornication. The names of this church are listed in verse 5 showing what this church represented and where it’s head quarters was located. Verse 6 tells us this church was responsible for the death many of the saints and it made John wonder. Remember John’s physical state he cannot see, but by the spirit he is seeing all this. All of this takes place in the first half of the tribulation with the destruction of the religions order at the end of the first 3 an 1/2 years and then the reign of the Antichrist begins. We can see already in the religions of today how people can be lead in wrong direction and these religions condemn the true worshipers of God. Please find you church today that teaches the truth of God’s word.

Revelation 16:17-21

Revelation 16:17 And the seventh angel poured out his vial into the air; and there came a great voice out of the temple of heaven, from the throne, saying, It is done.
18 And there were voices, and thunders, and lightnings; and there was a great earthquake, such as was not since men were upon the earth, so mighty an earthquake, and so great.
19 And the great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell: and great Babylon came in remembrance before God, to give unto her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of his wrath.
20 And every island fled away, and the mountains were not found.
21 And there fell upon men a great hail out of heaven, every stone about the weight of a talent: and men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail; for the plague thereof was exceeding great.

IT IS DONE! The seventh angel has poured out his vile and as God has spoken so many time with a loud voice He says now with this vial it is done. Also along with this came thundering s and lightnings and a great earthquake bigger than man had ever seen.It split Jerusalem into 3 parts and all the cities of the nations fell. And God remembered Babylon and serve them the fierceness of his wrath. The quake so great that all the islands disappeared and the mountains were leveled preparing the earth for its new beginning. But God is not quite finished lastly He drops 100 pound hail stones on the rebellious people of the earth and instead of them repenting now they still curse and blaspheme God. We wander today how people can be so stupid to believe in things that are totally false but yet you do everything you can to change their minds and knowing it is not going to make a difference, well this is how it is in the tribulation, do you want to be one these that their hearts have been hardened so that it does not matter?

Revelation 16:12-16

Revelation 16:12 And the sixth angel poured out his vial upon the great river Euphrates; and the water thereof was dried up, that the way of the kings of the east might be prepared.
13 And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet.
14 For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.
15 Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame.
16 And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon.

Now the preparation for the final battle begins, the sixth vial will dry up the river Euphrates so the armies from the east can come over on dry ground for the battle that is going to be fought. Satan to now begins to prepare for this battle by bringing fourth three evil spirits, one from the dragon, the beast and the false profit. These spirits convince the armies of the to fight against God by the miracles they are able to perform. This will be the 21st battle fought in this valley which equals (3X7) three being the God head, 7 being the completeness of God, the final battle that God will fight. The place where they all be gathered is called Armageddon. God also here warns those that have stayed true up to this point to be careful not to fall into sin and lose their righteousness and become part of the destruction. A few things to reflect on, these seven vials cover the last 3 and 1/2 years and we approaching the end of that time period, the saints that were in rapture have been preparing for 7 years to return to earth to rule with Jesus and also praising God for fulling His promise. If you would like to a part of that group that comes back with Jesus now is the time to make that decision.

“Pigs!”: A Note from Hope

20160714_162228[1]Do ya’ll know what these are? They are PIGS!  At least I think that’s what Mom said.  I’m not really sure; I wasn’t paying attention because I was chasing the cats.

But let me tell you – they are GREAT. Mom’s been picking them so she can make “pig” preserves, or something. Anyway, when she finds one that the birds have pecked, she lets me eat it. She got this bowlful this morning while we were outside; I really wanted to try some more but she wouldn’t let me have any.

Did you know that Jesus talked about “pigs”?

And he told them a parable: “Look at the fig tree, and all the trees. As soon as they come out in leaf, you see for yourselves and know that the summer is already near. So also, when you see these things taking place, you know that the kingdom of God is near.” Luke 21:29-31

Of all the trees, Jesus used a “pig” tree to remind us that we need to be watching for Him to come back. I’m ready for Him – are you? If you’re not, my mom and dad would be glad to talk to you and help you learn what it takes to be ready.

Revelation 16 : 10-11

Revelation 16:10 And the fifth angel poured out his vial upon the seat of the beast; and his kingdom was full of darkness; and they gnawed their tongues for pain,
11 And blasphemed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores, and repented not of their deeds.

Now the fifth angel comes and pour out his vial of darkness on the seat of the beast, the seat being the whole world because he is in charge of it. This darkness brings a bit relief to the people who have faced the previous vials but it also makes them realize the pain they are in caused by these plagues. The pain is so great it cause them to gnaw their tongues. They also continue to blaspheme God because they know these plagues come from Him because the beast can do nothing to stop them. They could ask God for mercy but they do not because their hearts have been hardened. They continue on sinning as they have even though they are in such pain and have been through so much. Does this not sound like people today? But today they still have a good chance of finding Jesus with the help of the Holy spirit, so why wait?

Tough Times Never Last

There’s an old saying – “tough times never last; tough people do.”

And then there’s the country song that says,

“If you’re goin’ through hell, keep on going;
Don’t slow down, if you’re scared don’t show it.
You might get out before the devil even knows you’re there.”

That song isn’t exactly scripturally correct but it does encourage me to remember that when I’m in the valley of the shadow of death, I don’t have to stay there. I do have the ability to keep going.

“The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.  He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.  He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.  Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.  Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.  Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.” Psalm 23

I think the Lord might be trying to tell me something…. I wrote about this scripture a few days ago; my pastor read it to us a few days after that, and  when I Googled ‘scriptures for tough times”, that was the first one to pop up.

I don’t know about you, but I’m going through tough times. I just told a very dear friend this morning that we’ve got two choices- either we can decide that all the struggles we’re going through are more trouble than it’s worth; or we can just keep fighting and trusting God, knowing that nothing happens outside His permission. I am too old and mean and set it my ways to quit now.

Manna or Quail?

When the Israelites were wandering in the desert, God fed them manna every day. In fact, they were told to gather enough manna every day for that day’s use. Anything more than what they needed would mold during the night. And why would they need to keep it? They got it fresh every day!

The only variation on that was the Sabbath – since they weren’t to do any work on the Sabbath, they could gather enough for two days on the day before- and because it was a heavenly gift, on those days it did NOT mold.

But the Israelites weren’t satisfied…. they decided they couldn’t eat another bite of manna. They needed quail – they complained and griped to Moses about it. They mumbled behind their doors, they grumbled as they talked to neighbors.

So Moses went to God and told Him the Israelites wanted quail. And that’s just what God provided.

Soon there were quail everywhere; hovering just above ground level, so the Israelites could easily gather them up and eat. And eat they did. The Bible says they ate ’til it was coming out their noses.  Just ponder on that mental image for a minute…

And now consider this: manna was provided from Heaven so it was perfect food. It met all their dietary needs; it tasted good; it was easy to gather and as long as they followed the rules, it didn’t spoil. They got new manna every day, fresh.

But the Israelites chose to have something earthly- fleshly, if you will. They wanted quail and lots of it. And they got it.

Are we making the same mistake? Are we asking for fleshly things instead of the things of God? If we are, do we really want the same outcome the Israelites got?

Because the Israelites really should have thought about what happened to the Egyptians. They worked against God, and the gods they worshipped ended up filling their mouths too. Don’t believe me? Check the story in the Bible – fleas, flies, gnats, frogs- all so plentiful around them it was in their beds, in their food – and in their mouths.

We better be careful what we’re chasing after.

Revelation 16:8-9

Revelation 16: 8 And the fourth angel poured out his vial upon the sun; and power was given unto him to scorch men with fire.
9 And men were scorched with great heat, and blasphemed the name of God, which hath power over these plagues: and they repented not to give him glory.

The fourth angel pours out the next vial on the sun and causes enormous heat to scorch men with fire. But this intense heat not only scorched man but also crops and remember they have been without a lot of water for a while from the last vials. Do you think this changed mans heart, no, they now cursed and blasphemed God. Does this remind you of Pharaoh when his heart was hardened. This plague also caused much pain, like a sunburn but probably about 10 times worse. We need to remember also that God’s people that are still on the earth are protected from all this .

Revelation 16:3-7

Revelation 16:3 And the second angel poured out his vial upon the sea; and it became as the blood of a dead man: and every living soul died in the sea.
4 And the third angel poured out his vial upon the rivers and fountains of waters; and they became blood.
5 And I heard the angel of the waters say, Thou art righteous, O Lord, which art, and wast, and shalt be, because thou hast judged thus.
6 For they have shed the blood of saints and prophets, and thou hast given them blood to drink; for they are worthy.
7 And I heard another out of the altar say, Even so, Lord God Almighty, true and righteous are thy judgments.

As the vials continue to flow the second one is poured out on the sea and it turns to blood. Remember earlier only part of the sea was turned to blood but now the entire oceans are blood and everything in them dies. Imagine the stench that is create by all the dead sea life, also the disease that could easily be create by it . The next vial comes right along with this one and turns all the rivers and springs to blood leaving it almost to have water to drink which is a necessity to life itself. Because all those through the ages have shed the blood of the saints they now have nothing but blood to drink. No doubt there is going to be a lot of death caused by theses two vials but the angels praise God and call Him righteous because this is the judgement God and promised His people. It is today God’s will that all be saved and none be lost but that is for today and not the second half of the tribulation because these people have made their choice. And Gods judgments are true and righteous.
