Before any expressions of righteousness ever showed forth in the natural realm, they were already desired, and spoken forth in the spirit realm. God has placed within His people a hunger and thirst for righteousness, and God promises to fill that hunger through Jesus Christ. The Bible says that those who hunger and thirst for righteousness shall be filled (Matthew 5:6). Our hearts should not only be attached to God, but we should be one with Him. God’s heart desires and requires righteousness. So He places that same desire within the believer’s heart. We groan within ourselves, looking to God to make right all that is unrighteous. When we were yet sinners, God gave us the gift of righteousness through our faith in Jesus, and His work by the cross. But we are still not satisfied as long as there is unrighteousness in the world. So, God stirs His people to pray prophetic prayers and to prophesy righteousness. This causes people and circumstances to line up with righteousness. That is why it is so important to be filled with the Holy Spirit, so that we can join with the heart of God and petition for righteousness in the earth.
As I said, nothing can occur in the earth, unless it is spoken forth. Even before Jesus came forth as the Savior, God had those such as the prophetess Anna and the prophet Simeon desiring and praying for Jesus to manifest (Luke 2: 25-38). We, as God’s people, should never be satisfied with evil. No, we should not even be satisfied with the status quo. We should only be satisfied with righteousness. I don’t know if you have ever considered this, but God is the only One who can answer hunger and thirst. So we have to pray and prophesy for ourselves and for others. When we do, God will begin to send answers from heaven. The answers may be in the form of a change of circumstances into a righteous state. Or they could be in the form of a sent one, such as an apostle or prophet. They could even be a lay person who is directed by God. Because of the persistent prayers of saints, God will move heaven and earth to change circumstances and people to cause them to line up with righteousness.
Never give in to evil. Never give up on righteousness. Never say, “ The world is destined to stay in darkness, there is nothing we can do.” No, let the Lord stir you to crave righteousness. Let Him bring you to your knees to pray for something better. Cry out for your generation and those that might follow. Pray and prophesy salvation and love for God and His righteous ways. You won’t be satisfied until you do.
