Turning to Salvation
There is no way to salvation without the act of repenting. To repent means to change your way or direction.
Jesus said, “I am the way the truth and the life. No man comes to the Father except through Me” (St John 14:6). He also said, that if anyone desires to come after Him, he must first deny self, take up his cross and follow Jesus (Matthew 16:24). These are not optional steps to salvation, but the core of being born again of the Holy Spirit of God. We repent of our ways and begin to walk yoked to the Father by Jesus and His Holy Spirit. All of our life now is surrendered to Jesus.
We have entered a new life where we are now accepted in the beloved and embraced by Father God, our Creator. Newness of life begins as we set all our attention and affection on knowing Jesus and the Father, for this is eternal life (St. John 17:3).
