Biker Babes vs. Biker Chicks
28/09/09
Okay, I think I’ve finally figured out the difference between biker babes and biker chicks. Of course, this is my own opinion, so it may be wrong. Just some observations I’ve made over the last few days…
There are at least two kinds of females who are involved in the biker community.
The first group is biker babes- these are the beautiful young women who generally wear about a size 2 or 4, and usually have long gorgeous hair and beautifully manicured nails. You usually see them at bike rallies or bike shows, dressed in bikinis or very brief outfits and very high heels. Some guys like to refer to them as eye-candy, but don’t make the mistake of thinking they’re dumb. They make good money because they have learned to use their beauty to help sell expensive motorcycles and accessories; most of them have also learned how to make a grown man look pretty silly too. Pick up any bike-related or car-related magazine, and you’ll see some of the biker babes. I’ve met a few, and they have been very sweet, nice young women.
The second group is biker chicks- I fall into this group. We may or may not be carrying a few extra pounds; we may or may not have a little gray in our hair. Some, like me, ride their own bike; others ride behind their man on his, helping navigate and being good company. We may work on our own bikes, or we may just be there to hand over a tool when necessary. Some of us know how to hook the trailer up to the truck; some can even load the bike and tie it down.
I’ve learned that babe or chick, we all belong to the biker community, which is a great group of people. We’re as fiercely loyal to one another as any family, because that’s what we truly are.
