ďOnly the Strong Will StandĒ

Prayers to cast out demons, heal the sick and raise the dead

A life of prayer is a life of constant forgiveness and forgetting the bad things of the past. As difficult as it may be to forgive the horrible acts to destroy a family member or us, we have no choice but to forgive. I must remind you of the prayer Jesus prayed while being crucified on the cross. He prayed: Father, forgive them for they know not what they do. Another example of how to pray for those who are hurting you everyday of your life is the stoning of Stephen in chapters six and seven of Acts. This man looked up into heaven and prayed God not to hold their acts against them. There have been times in my life that I could not forgive until I prayed for Holy Spirit to help me. This may be where you are today. Just tell God you want to forgive but you canít and ask for his help to do so. I once knew a lady in Montgomery, Alabama who stood before a judge and ask that the killer of her daughter be given life in prison and not death. A news reporter asked her how she could do that and her reply was she had to in order to break the bitterness from off her own heart.

A story is told in Matthew eighteen is a man who was forgiven much but when something was done to him, he would not forgive. Jesus Christ says that if we refuse to forgive; we will be turned over to the tormentors. Not only do we forgive and forget, we must live a life of constant repentance for any wrong we have done. Psalm 24 in verses three and four the question is asked: Who shall ascend into the hill of the Lord? Or who shall stand in his holy Place? He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully. Verse five says this man will receive the blessing from the Lord, and righteousness from the God of his salvation. In the Lordís Prayer, Jesus prayed to God to forgive our sins as we forgive those who sin against us. These are some powerful tools as to how to get prayers answered.

When the bridegroom comes we do not want to be as the five foolish virgins in Matthew 25 without oil in our lamps. We do not want to hear the Lord say that he does not know us and have his door to eternal life close. There is so much that can rob us of the anointing and Holy Spirit Oil, we must purpose in our heart to stay strong in the Lord and also to guard our hearts from evil. We are living in perilous times and so much darkness everywhere. We have never seen such a need to learn how to pray to be able to stand. We do not want to be a part of those who will fall away or grow lukewarm or cold. Prayer is work and spiritual warfare is indeed hard work but it must be done in these last days to stand. Purpose in your heart to learn how to pray and to teach others in you family how to stand and pray. It is not Godís will for any to perish.
